There's Still Life: Exploring the Digitalization of Everyday Objects and their Meanings showcases an interactive digital collection. Objects received from worldwide contributions are uploaded and digitally born, becoming memorabilia of diverse transmedia culture. Objects take on new forms, questioning materiality, aura and value. Inspired by the cabinet of curiosity, this project aims to discover the extent to which the birthing of digital objects impacts shared histories and the sense of self amidst the passing of time. Additionally, the project will explore the role of virtual installations in enabling digital community building amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
